New Castle County's government information channel NCC TV has been picked up by Verizon, the county announced Monday.
Verizon FiOS subscribers can now view NCC TV on channel 29. The channel, which was launched last October on Comcast channel 22, provides information about county services, activities, events and public meetings in short-format programming.
The station runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is operated at no cost to taxpayers.
“I very much appreciate Verizon FiOS adding NCC TV to its programming line up,” Coons said. “This greatly expands the availability of NCC TV to county residents, especially in the southern part of New Castle County where it was previously unavailable."
