The BTL Foundation offered over 110 Turkeys along with baskets of other Thanksgiving staples to needy families at the Rose Hill Community Center in New Castle last month. About 500 dinners were prepared and served on Thanksgiving Day. More than 90 volunteers helped to assemble and deliver turkey baskets and meals to senior citizens, and also helped to setup, prepare and serve meals for sit-in dinners and Meals on Wheels.

The BTL Foundation also plans to serve Christmas dinners at the Salvation Army in Wilmington, Little Sisters of the Poor in Newark and a New Year’s Day dinner at the Emmanuel Dining Room. To date, the BTL Foundation has provided over 47,500 Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s dinners to Delawareans in need since 1986.

Anyone interested in donating to the cause can send their tax-deductible contributions to BTL Foundation, 114 Mettenet Court, Hockessin, DE 19707, or make a donation online at www.btlfoundation.net.

Founder and Chairman Mr. B.T. Lakshman said he would match each donation, dollar for dollar.
