The Red Clay Board of Education approved the motion for School Choice, in which over 2,500 applications were received.

According to Ted Ammann, Ed.D, assistant superintendent of district operations, the majority of applications are Brandywine Springs, the Charter School of Wilmington, Cab Calloway School of the Arts, and Alexis I. du Pont High School.

Over 500 applications from the Christina School District were received as well as over 200 applications from the Colonial School District this year.

Invitation letters will be sent to all students, along with wait list letters as appropriate. Parents must accept the choice invitations by March 16. All Red Clay students will be put on a waiting list for choice schools until June 30.
