In the final days before Election Day, WHYY News will present two debates, sponsored by AARP Delaware, involving the candidates for governor and lieutenant governor, to help provide voters additional information to make informed choices Nov. 4.
Nancy Karibjanian, senior correspondent for WHYY’s Delaware Tonight, will moderate the debates. The candidates for lieutenant governor, Charlie Copeland (R) and Matt Denn (D), will debate first, at 8 p.m. on Oct. 23. The candidates for governor, Bill Lee (R) and Jack Markell (D), will debate at 9 a.m. on Oct. 26.
Following the live broadcast of the debate involving the candidates for governor, Lee and Markell will address Delaware citizens’ questions during a 30-minute, Web-only debate round. WHYY News encourages viewers to submit questions on WHYY’s Delaware Tonight Web page,

The debates will be broadcast on WHYY TV12 and streamed live on WHYY’s Web site www.whyy.org. It will also be available through Comcast’s video-on-demand service.
