The U.S. Army Baltimore Recruiting Battalion has announced the finalists for the inaugural Army STRONG Wrestler of the Year award, honoring Delaware’s best high school wrestler.
Each week throughout the season, the Army identified a wrestler of the week. Winners qualified for the Wrestler of the Year award.
Fans can vote online at TheSportsFlash.com starting on Monday. The voting will end at midnight on Sunday, March 28. The winner will be announced on Monday, March 29.
The candidates are:
- Shawn Alaburda – A.I. du Pont
- Wendell Cannon – Sussex Tech
- Cody Carbine - Smyrna
- Codey Combs – Sussex Central
- Sean Dolan – St. Mark’s
- Mark Lambert – Concord
- Kaleb LeMaire – Caesar Rodney
- Frank Sipala – Delaware Military
- Bobby Telford – St. Mark’s
- Jake Weaver - Archmere
