The Gamestop on Naamans Road in Wilmington had customers showing up to wait in line at 10 p.m. for the midnight release of the much anticpated Madden NFL 09 video game.
Customers braved unseasonably cold 63 degree weather with camping chairs, footballs and jerseys waiting for their chance to play the game eight hours before anyone else. A few customers passed the time by playing football in the parking lot or playing Madden NFL 08 at one of the kiosks set up inside the store.
The stores kept fans happy while they waited with snacks, drinks and kiosks where they could play last year's game.
Madden NFL 09 is available in stores now for Playstation 3, XBOX 360, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and Playstation Portable.
