Led by the dominant effort of John Dickinson High School defensive lineman Josh Watson, the Blue defeated Gold 12-0 in the 54th annual Blue-Gold All-Star football game Saturday, June 20.

Watson finished the game with four and a half sacks to gain Blue-Gold immortality as the consensus winner of the Michael K. Webb Outstanding Player Award.

Hodgson Vocational Technical High School’s Jamil Merrell won the Blue Hen Touchdown Club Outstanding Lineman Award.

DFRC Blue-Gold spokeswoman Anita Hunter said total attendance for the game was 5,200.
