Panel slated on economy, government transparency

Wilmington, Del. —

The Delaware Press Association and the Delaware Coalition for Open Government are sponsoring a Sept. 17 panel discussion entitled "What Really Happened to our Economy: The Consequences of Not Knowing."

The event, slated for the Delaware Theatre Company in Wilmington, will feature a lecture from Michael Greenberger, who has testified before Congress as an expert on problems in U.S. financial markets.

Following the lecture, a panel of experts, including Greenberger, will discuss the "information power struggle." The panel will be moderated by Ralph Begleiter, a distinguished professor of journalism at the University of Delaware and former CNN World Affairs Correspondent.
