Pike Creek resident wins Miss National pre-teen pageant

Bloomington, Minn. —

Angelina Nicole Galvis of Pike Creek was crowned Miss National Pre-Teen Petite 2008-2009 July 5 in Bloomington, Minnesota.

She placed first in talent with a cheer dance routine and first in several optional competitions as well. The pageant has a no make-up policy. The petite division is judged on personal interview, personality projection and party dress presentation.

The national pageant held activities for the candidates including a Minnesota Twins game, Science Museum of Minnesota, and The Mall of America.

Angelina, 9, will have the opportunity to visit other state pageants as a guest and she will crown the new Miss Delaware National Pre-Teen Petite at the state pageant on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Rehoboth Beach Convention Center. The pageant is an achievement program recognizing girls for their accomplishments. There are two age divisions: 5-8, and 9-12.

Angelina is the daughter of Dr. Oscar and Candice Galvis. She attends Hockessin Montessori School, is an all- star cheerleader for Kats in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and competes nationally.
