The Delaware Press Association (DPA) has elected six new officers to lead the organization from 2008 to 2010.
The officers are:
- President Mark Fowser, anchor of "Delaware This Morning" for 1450 WILM
- Vice President of Membership Allison Levine, public relations consultant for Synchrogenix Information Strategies
- Vice President of Programs Allan Loudell, host of Delaware's News at Noon for 1150 WDEL
- Vice President of Student Activities Barbara Roewe, director of the First State High School Communications Contest
- Secretary Roy Podorson, senior art director for Bank of America
- Treasurer Roxane Ferguson, director of marketing for Diamond Technologies
The DPA also named new members to its board of directors: Andrea Miller, editor of the Community News, who is the new editor of DPA's e-newsletter, Newsbreak; Christine Facciolo, a freelance journalist; and Sue Frost, a freelance writer.
The DPA is an affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women. Since 1977, the local chapter has been a source of networking and professional development resources for journalists, broadcasters, public relations specialists, graphic designers, photojournalists, educators, authors, poets and freelancers who are dedicated to the highest standards of excellence in communication and to protecting First Amendment freedoms.
