Mill Creek, Del. —

A suspected shoplifter attacked a Walmart employee with a box cutter to escape the store on Centreville Road, Delaware State Police said.

On July 25 around 1 p.m. several Walmart employees confronted the suspect after seeing him take and conceal various pieces of merchandise.  To avoid detention, the suspect pulled out a box cutter, grabbed a female employees arm and began to slash her with the razor, according to Delaware State Police officials.

The employee was able to break free with a slightly injured wrist.  The suspect fled the store on foot and was last seen running eastbound toward Centerville Road.

The suspect was described by store employees as a black male, 35-40 years old, 6’ tall, 175 pounds, dark complexion, average build wearing a striped shirt, white hat and long jean shirts.
