“To allow something like this to be distributed is wholly irresponsible. This Civic League for New Castle County has become representation for a lot of people who are on the fringes in terms of being on the right wing, and they’re cloaking themselves as civic leaders.”

New Castle County Councilman Penrose Hollins (D-Wilmington North) discussing the Civic League for New Castle County’s June 16 newsletter, in which Chuck Mulholland gave a scathing critique on a proposal for workforce housing. Mulholland said the ordinance would squeeze 100 homes in space zoned for 50, and that 10 out of 100 home would get a cheaper price on the backs of the other 90 in the neighborhood.
