WHAT: 2011 Water Gardens Tour: A delightful peek into 13 of the Brandywine Valley's most stunning private water gardens

WHEN: July 23, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

WHERE: Hockessin, Newark, Wilmington, and nearby Chadds Ford and Landenberg, Pa.

WHO: Co-Sponsored by the Delaware Center for Horticulture and Gateway Garden Center

WHY: A rare opportunity to peek into someone else's backyard haven for inspiration, and to get practical advice from other gardeners about creating your own water garden.

HOW: Get tickets, guidebook and map at TheDCH (1810 N. Dupont Street in Wilmington's Trolley Square) or Gateway Garden Center on Lancaster Pike in Hockessin during business hours before the event. Day of event sales: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at TheDCH, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Gateway. $15/TheDCH members, $20/others.
