Hockessin Boy Scout earns Eagle Scout award

Nicholas D. Serpe has earned the Eagle Scout award, the highest award given by the Boy Scouts of America.

Serpe, a Hockessin native, was recognized during Feb. 12 ceremonies at St. Anthony of Padua. He is a member of St. Anthony of Padua Troop No. 88.

To be eligible for the award, Serpe had to earn 21 merit badges and complete a community, church, or synagogue-related service project. Serpe renovated the band and equipment rooms at Salesianum School in Wilmington.
