Wilmington, Del. —

A Wilmington contractor is wanted by police for home improvement fraud and tax evasion.

Wayne Salvadori, 50, who operates a business out of his Wilmington residence called “Independent” is accused of taking more than $100,000 from two homeowners and then failing to complete any improvements for them.

Investigators say they’ve received several additional complaints about Salvadori and believe more victims are out there.

In addition to the fraud charges, on November 10, the Delaware Division of Revenue announced he was also being charged with failure to pay taxes in 2006 and 2007.

To offer information regarding Salvadori’s whereabouts, contact Special Investigator David M. Smith at (302) 577-8958 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333 or visit www.tipsubmit.com.
