New Castle County Police are seeking a homeless man they say has been preying on a 79-year-old woman in Sherwood Park.
Douglas R. Smith, 27, who frequents the Kirkwood Highway corridor, has used trickery several times to enter the home of an elderly woman suffering from dementia, police said. Once inside, he steals money from her purse, according to police.
Smith is wanted for multiple counts of theft and violations of no contact orders involving the victim.
He has been seen on foot near Kirkwood Highway, Route 7, Milltown Road and Duncan Road, police said.
