To the Editor:
Bravo to Jack Markell for taking such a bold stance on eminent domain in
favor of property rights. Government's ability to take private property must
be subject to some restrictions. How can Markell's opponent doubt this?
Maybe it's that John Carney doesn't want to offend Ruth Ann Minner. Is that
why he's been rather quiet about other major issues like education and the
economy?
Markell did the right thing coming out in favor of this bill. In fact, he's
done the right thing for the past 10 years, and I trust he'll continue
doing the right thing once he's governor. I'm proud to support him.
