Tax hike during recession 'unconscionable'

That our legislatures increased property taxes during this recession and are raising oil prices is unconscionable.

The fact that the great state of California is bankrupt because of its legislatures' tax and spend policy apparently hasn't penetrated the consciousness and conscience of our own New Castle County Council.

The problem is that our legislators face those who have their hands stretched out, but fail to turn around and see the anguish and despair of those forced to pay for their agenda.
