Just a few years ago, I lost my older sister, who had lung disease. Francis needed health insurance to provide her with the proper medical treatment for recovery. Unfortunately, that was not the case. As a result, my sister died. As I look back at that sad moment from time to time, I sincerely believe in my heart that if this present proposed “Healthcare plan for Everyone” was available for the American people just a few years ago, my sister may still be alive today.
In a recent study, it has been discovered that in the next few years, the cost of healthcare under our present system will increase, possibly double. After reviewing these findings, I was compelled to try to do something to prevent this from happening. Therefore, I decided to compose this letter of action. Please be aware that there are thousands of American people just like my sister who cannot afford health care and many of these honest, once productive members of our society will die.
If this present healthcare system should remain, it will not only affect the poor, sick and hurting people who cannot afford healthcare, but it will also affect our economy, future employment, businesses and put a huge financial burden on the American people.
We, the American people, must wake up, put our differences aside, and stand behind this much-needed health care plan. It’s a good plan, the right plan and the only plan that provides healthcare for everyone. We, the American people collectively, have the voice of power to stand up and prevent another person from having to go without healthcare and possibly prevent another death. I’m reminded every day that is it our responsibility and duty as Americans to make sure grandmom and grandpop and all of our loved ones be provided with healthcare.
It is imperative that we do not wait another second and do nothing, say nothing regarding this matter. We must move to action, because right at this moment, some man, woman, boy, girl and little child is dying because of the absence of propert health insurance. Sustaining human life has nothing to do with politics, but it is a God-given human right for everyone to have the opportunity when sick to be medically cared for through an available healthcare plan. We are to do all we can to sustain life by giving both the sick and dying proper, quality health care.
