To the Editor:
As a successful small business owner, Charlie Copeland has the experience we
need in a lieutenant governor. Charlie understands what it means to meet a
budget – something our state government doesn't seem to know how to do.
More importantly, he knows how to create jobs and respond timely to crises
and issues affecting our state. These traits will serve our state well. We
need leaders who think proactively about issues affecting our state and who
implement policies thinking about the long term, not just the short term.
Charlie Copeland is such a person. When I ask myself the question, "Would I
rather have a successful businessman as lieutenant governor or a trial
lawyer with no business experience?," the answer is clear. I prefer the
person with business experience who will help bring jobs to our state and
work to end the financial mismanagement in our state government.
Please join me in voting for Charlie Copeland for Lt. Governor.
