To the editor:
Thanks to the “history revisionists” the vast majority of people are ignorant of the facts that the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights are all rooted in the Bible and God’s word, which inspired our founding fathers to bring forth upon this continent this “Nation under God.”
Mature Christians will not attack people, as Isaac Walker charged; it is prohibited.
“For we wrestle not against the flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places,” (Ephesians 6:12.)
Mature Christians will not condemn anyone and have no reason to condemn anyone.
“For God sent not his son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through him might be saved. He that believes in him is not condemned, but he that believes not is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten son of God,” (John 3:17-18.)
We all are appalled when words of parents mutilating their children is in the news. The atrocities committed by the people God ordered executed are unspeakable, human sacrifices being one of them. The Israelites who sinned were also killed. When we violate God’s law of gravity, we will die. Violating his moral laws will also cause death.
“Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine; the soul that sins, it shall die,” (Ezekiel 18:4.)
“What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid! Nay but, O man, who are you that replies against God? The natural man receives not the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness unto him; neither can he know them because they are spiritually discerned. Except a man must be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit,” (Romans 9:14-20.)
To understand the Bible, you must be born of the Spirit. To understand yourself you must understand the Bible.
