NCCo Council members take oaths of office

Seven New Castle County Councilman began their new terms Tuesday with a swearing-in ceremony in Council Chambers.

The event kicked off the second terms of the council members, six of whom come from districts that were created four years ago when the Council was expanded.

Council President Paul Clark is also embarking on a second term.

Also sworn in Tuesday were Councilmen William Bell (D-Middletown); John Cartier (D-Penny Hill); Timothy Sheldon (D-Pike Creek); George Smiley (D-New Castle); Jea Street (D-Wilmington South); David Tackett (D-Christiana).
