This month marks Jane Cislo’s 10-year anniversary as an employee of Supporting KIDDS, a grassroots organization started in the basements of local churches to serve grieving children.
Before becoming an employee, Cislo served as a volunteer facilitator for children’s support groups and subsequently served on the board of directors building KIDDS’ capacity to serve increasing numbers of bereaved children and families.
Since 1995, Cislo has helped Supporting KIDDS grow into its own home in Hockessin, where it continues to serve children suffering the loss of a loved one. Cislo was hired as development director in 1999, where she raised funds for KIDDS and eventually served as co-executive director. She has helped the nonprofit succeed in providing services to hundreds of bereaved children who’ve lost parents, siblings or other close family members.
In her current role as Finance Manager, Cislo oversees precious dollar resources to ensure continued and sustainable services for those hurting from the loss of a loved one.
