Lyndie Moe is no stranger to the spotlight. The 11-year-old Hockessin resident sung her first national anthem at a local basketball game when she was 6 years old. Since then, she’s sung it for the 76ers, Phillies, Kansas City Royals, Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs. At the same time, she’s juggling a role in a performance for the New Candlelight Theatre, a spot on a Hockessin Soccer Club team, guitar and piano lessons and, last but not least, her homework.

Q. What is your single biggest day-to-day challenge?

A. Getting up at 5:30 a.m. (sometimes after I have been at play practice until 10:00 p.m.!)

Q. What is the best advice you’ve gotten?

A. My favorite T-shirt reads: “I can’t, I have play practice!” This is the story of my life. I miss lots of birthday parties and have not been to a school dance yet.

Q. What is your secret to happiness?

A. I love being involved in as many things as possible!

Q. What do you want to be when you grew up?

A. A Broadway star.

Q. Name someone who has had a major influence in your life.

A. My mom. She has always supported all of my endeavors and never minds driving me places.

Q. Briefly describe a pivotal moment in your life.

A. When the Delaware Children’s Theater cast me as Becky in “Tom Sawyer,” I felt so honored and I just had so much fun doing that play. We go to New York City a lot to see plays and I remember seeing “Grease” on Broadway. That night I decided that I wanted to be on Broadway to be just like Sandy.

My favorite musical that I did was “Gypsy” at the New Candlelight Theater – being Baby June was so much fun. I had to learn how to twirl the baton.

Q. Name up to three people you would love to meet.

A. I would love to meet Selena Gomez, Ashley Tisdale, and the amazing winner of last year’s “America’s Got Talent” Terry Fador.
