Red Clay extends teacher contract temporarily

The Red Clay Board of Education voted unanimously August 20 to extend the contract between the school district and the teachers' union until  a new one can be reached.

The current contract for teachers in the Red Clay School District expires August 31.

In a tough economic climate, teachers in neighboring Christina School District had a three-year contract approved last month with no raises in the local side of funding.
