Pencader Charter opens addition to school

Pencader Charter High School in New Castle opened a 44,000 square-foot addition in  the midst of back to school season.

Pencader officials celebrated the opening of the multipurpose room and new science labs with a ribbon cutting ceremony August 21.

In its third year of operation, the school has a waiting list and has earned a superior rating based on its Delaware Student Testing Program scores.

Pencader's first day of school is August 27.
