Hockessin, Del. —

The National Junior Honor Society of Henry B. duPont Middle School picked up trash on Benge and Meeting House Roads Nov. 1. as part of its commitment to service in the community of Hockessin.

With that goal in mind, H.B. duPont’s Honor Society participated in the Delaware Department of Transportation Adopt A Highway Program. This program is a partnership between DelDOT and volunteers working together to make Delaware better, two miles at a time. The program also aims to educate students about the responsibilities of land stewardship.

H.B. duPont’s Honor Society has adopted Meeting House and Benge Roads and is responsible for cleaning these roads at least three times per year.

H.B. faculty advisors Mike Przywara and Diane Wallace and students Navika Gangrade, Catherine McNicol, Kristen Reisor, Allie Bowman, Roy Ferrell, Julia Episcopo, Victoria Bailor, Alec Hoeschel, Corlan Williamson, Joey Koziol, Chris Koziol and Isaac Chen participated in the cleanup.
