Brandywine Hundred, Del. —

Members of the Brandywine Hundred Rotary Club, the Brandywine Naamans Rotary Club as well as Rotary District 7630 chose to support St. Michael's School & Nursery with a district grant to purchase educational materials for the school’s new Math and Science Lab.

Rotary Club President Dorothy Fischer said this year’s Rotary International theme is to “Make Dreams Real”, especially for young children.

“St. Michael’s School is a perfect partner to help us reach our goal of improving the quality of life for those in our community,” she said.

The club’s Service Chair, Peggy Munley and Michael Koli, president of the Brandywine Naamans club are thrilled to work with St. Michael’s School to help launch this new initiative to further educate young children.

To prepare children for today’s technological society, emphasis on math and science early is critical, officials said. The materials purchased with this grant will be perfect for the way young children learn. They will provide hands-on experiences that will help children internalize complex math and science concepts that become a strong foundation for all of their future learning.
