Q Why did you decide to be a school nurse?
A I originally decided to make the switch to school health when my children were in elementary school and I needed to be available to them in the afternoon.
Q What is your single biggest day-to-day challenge?
A Time management is my biggest challenge. We have 1,500 students at AIHS and more than 100 staff members, all of whom have health needs.

A Be kind to others.

Q What is your secret to happiness / success?
A People will forget what you did, people will forget what you said, but people will never forget how you made them feel.
Q Where do you see yourself in five years?
A I will most likely still be a school nurse at AIHS. I hope I will be attending my children’s graduations from college!
Q What did you want to be when you grew up?
A A physical education teacher

A My parents, my three sisters and my brother.

A While I was at Penn State, I took an emergency management course and it was then that I knew that I wanted to have a career in health care.
