The activity periods on Thursdays are very busy with groups practicing for upcoming meets in Math League, coached by math teachers Bea Woodard, math chair and Matthew Haney and for Academic Bowl, coached Mary Shenvi, language teacher. The Earth Awareness Group, moderated by Bernadette Kegelman, took a road trip to clean its Adopt–A–Highway location on Thursday, Nov. 12. The Yearbook staff, with instructor Dana Delle Donne, is quickly approaching its first deadline. The Mock Trial team, coached by Robert Ristow, social studies chair and Mary Shenvi, began practice on Thursday, Nov. 12.

The Language Club, moderated by principal Shirley Bounds, has planned its annual trip to New York City to see West Side Story on Sunday, Dec. 6. The newest activity this year is Chemistry Club, moderated by chemistry teacher Therese Dekleva. Yesterday, the Psychology and Anatomy classes went to the Franklin Institute to see the Body Worlds 2 and the Brain special exhibition.

Campus Ministry, led by Sister Colleen Quinlivan, OSB, will coordinate the Thanksgiving prayer service on Tuesday, Nov. 24 during the activity period before lunch. School will not be in session on Wednesday through Friday in honor of the Thanksgiving holiday. School will resume on Monday, Nov. 30.
