Analtech sees record growth in international sales
Analtech, Inc., a Newark-based manufacturer of thin layer chromatography plates, has seen a record growth in international sales.
The company’s international sales increased 46 percent this year and Analtech has sold products to laboratories, universities and government agencies in 65 countries on six continents.
Steven Miles, general manager of Analtech, said he expects sales to continue to grow as the company expands its product line - having already launched the new XTRX extraction columns and preparing to release a new line of superior HPLC columns.
Thin Layer Chromatography is a method used in research labs and hospitals around the world for everything from forensic investigations to pharmaceutical development to environmental science. Analtech is the only U.S. manufacturer of thin layer chromatography plates.
UPS employee honored for 20 years of service
Donna VanSant was recently honored by UPS for completing 20 years of service with the company.
VanSant, who is a Technical Support Group technician with UPS in Newark, was recognized for her loyal service contributions. She began her career in 1988 as a center clerk with the company.
VanSant and her husband, Barry, live in Hockessin. They have two children: Justin and Kimberly.
PNC Wealth Management names new banking advisor
Lisa A. Chorlton has joined PNC Wealth Management as vice president and banking advisor. She provides wealth planning, investment management, trust advisory and private banking expertise to high-net-worth individuals and families.
Chorlton of Hockessin brings more than 10 years of wealth management experience to her new position. She joins PNC following three years as vice president, trust officer and relationship manager at Delaware Sterling Bank and Trust Company, which merged with PNC in mid-2008. Earlier, she worked as a relationship manager for JP Morgan Private Bank in the Chicago area and for Wachovia’s wealth management division in Wilmington.
Flowers Named to NAPM Delaware Board
Chipman L. Flowers Jr., president and managing member of the Flowers Counsel Group, LLC, has been named an at-large member of the board of directors of the Delaware chapter of the National Association of Purchasing Management.
NAPM is an affiliate of the Institute for Supply Management, a nonprofit organization for professionals working in supply and purchasing management.

Joanna Reiver Joins Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP
Joanna Reiver has joined Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP as counsel in the firm’s Business Group.
Reiver will focus her practice on estate planning, probate, estate administration and charitable trusts. She is a fellow and the Delaware state chair of the American College of Trust and Estates and is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Delaware, Inc., the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils and the Wilmington Tax Group.
She is admitted to practice in Delaware and New Mexico.
Local Financial Advisor earns certified financial planner designation
Stan Wilcox, managing director - investments of the Camp Wilcox Group of Wachovia Securities, has been authorized by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards to use the designation certified financial planner (CFP).
The CFP designation identifies individuals who have met the rigorous experience and ethical requirements of the CFP Board, as well as passed the CFP Certification Examination covering the following areas: the financial planning process, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement and employee benefits and estate planning.
