Delmarva Power offers advanced metering to commercial customers

Delmarva Power has begun expanding its Advanced Metering Infrastructure Field Acceptance Test to commercial customers in Delaware.

AMI will enable two-way communications between customers and Delmarva Power and give customers information about their energy use.

The field acceptance tests began in the spring and the company plans to eventually offer the service to 300,000 customers across Delaware. The company has installed more than 7,000 advanced electric meters and gas modules at Delaware homes.
