Deerfield Golf & Tennis Club in Newark will be hosting a fundraising effort, Patriot Golf Day, with public golfers and annual passholders over Labor Day weekend.
Patriot Golf Day is held at courses across the country to raise money for The Folds of Honor Foundation, a group that provides necessary funds for the spouses and children of U.S. military veterans who have been disabled or killed in action.
All weekend, Deerfield will be accepting donations from golfers and passholders wishing to make a contribution. Those who donate at least $1 will be invited to sign a giant thank you card that will be delivered to the VA hospital after Labor Day.
All donors will receive a 10 percent apparel discount certificate for the Deerfield Pro Shop.
