Persistent recycler strikes again, aluminum fencing stolen from bridge overpass

Claymont, Del. —

Eight sections of aluminum fencing were stolen from the bridge overpass on Naamans Road in Claymont sometime between August 17 and 18, said Delaware State Police.

Bolts were removed from 17 sections of aluminum fencing on the bridge, but the thief only took eight. The remaining nine sections were damaged when they fell into the creek below, said police.  The fencing was the property of Delaware Department of Transportation and will cost several thousand dollars to replace.
