The Claymont Design Review Advisory Committee approved a new look for the Philadelphia Pike Goodwill Store on Wednesday, its last formal action of 2008.
The store, at the corner of Philadelphia Pike and Harvey Road, is renovating. Some members of the committee were concerned about the fate of a Lion’s Club sign on the property, currently on the same pole as a Goodwill sign slated for removal. Greg Bianchi of Goodwill said he would meet with the Lion’s Club to see if another location for its sign could be found. He said he would report back to the committee in January.
The committee will not meet in December, taking the month off for the holidays. The group, which enforces design standards on new construction and signage along Philadelphia Pike, will next meet on Jan. 21.
