Wilmington, Del. —

Delaware Solid Waste Authority, in cooperation with Best Buy and Computer Donation Management, will be holding a special e-collection event in the Concord Mall parking lot behind the Best Buy August 23 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The event will allow residents to safely dispose of all their old electronic goods rather than send them to Delaware’s landfills. Customers who discard an electronic device will receive a discount that day at Best Buy.

Residents can also feel good about helping others as they help the environment: Computer Donation Management recycles everything collected. They re-distribute electronics that still work, and dismantle the broken ones to ship component parts to companies that can use them.

“We hold these special events to make recycling more accessible to residents,” said DSWA Recycling Manager Rich Von Stetten.

Similar events are also planed for Dover on September 13, and Christiana Mall on September 27. For more information, call 800-404-7080 during regular business hours.
