A quick look at upcoming shows worth putting on your calendar:

Los Lobos
Sun., July 26, 7:30 p.m.
Long's Park Ampitheatre
Lancaster, Pa.
FREE
longspark.org

Contrary to what the title of their 20-year retrospective might tell you, Los Lobos is anything but "Just Another Band From East L.A." With respect to Jim Morrison and Co., this Chicano band -- with influences spanning blues, traditional Mexican music and country -- are the most significant band spawned by the City of Angels. Their contributions to the La Bamba soundtrack back in 1988 made put them on the map, and all they've done since is release album-after-album of well-crafted rock 'n' roll (1992's "Kiko" at the top of the heap). They don't make it out east very often, so pack a picnic and be there.

Meeting in the Aisle
Fri., July 31, 9 p.m.
The Note
West Chester, Pa.
$8/advance, $10/door
thenotewc.com

Note-for-note re-creations of Radiohead staples like “My Iron Lung,” “Paranoid Android” or “Pyramid Song” are the product of this Philadelphia quintet, made up of die-hard fans of Oxford, UK band considered by many to be among the most groundbreaking of the last 20 years. The Jane's Addiction tribute band Ritual opens the show.
